We encourage everyone to use their real first name because it is so much friendlier ... and there is absolutely no security risk in using your real first name. Non-sensical Internet "handles" and convoluted names are really rather silly and quite cumbersome, don't you think?

It doesn't really matter if there are other members in the directory who have the same first name as yours, but if many people share your same first name and you would like to make yours unique and distinctive from others, please feel free to do so.

For example, if your name is "John" you could add initials (i.e. JohnB) for your middle and/or last name and/or your birth year (i.e. John1967) or anything else you wish ... (i.e. JohnB67).
